| .. | Psychofonie is a new therapy for the treatment of sleeping disturbances, headache, migraine, jet lag, i.e. all disorders and complaints involving disturbed brain waves. Psychofonie also helps with chronic symptoms of pain and with stress management.
For Psychofonie, an EEG (= brain wave activity) of the patient will be recorded in a state of rest as relaxed and trouble-free as possible. A special computer-controlled process then converts these physiological (= normal) brain waves (i.e. EEG oscillations) to sounds. In this manner, individual tonal sequences adapted to you personally with background noises of your choice (ocean, harp) are composed. You will receive these sounds on an audio cassette which you listen to several times a day in the following weeks until your complaints will have been alleviated. After this treatment period, you will only need to replay the tape if your complaint recurs to control the same. The mechanism of Psychofonie is as follows: the therapy uses the way of hearing as direct access to certain centers in the midbrain and interbrain. The tonal sequences on the audio cassette which, as described above, correspond to physiological (= normal) EEG waves cause a harmonization and soothing in these nerve centers. As a consequence, the treated functional disorders will be permanently healed or alleviated. |
